I would like to recommend Coffee Club Spanish to anyone who wants to learn Spanish in Cuenca. In my 18 plus months in this city, I have attended 3 language programs and I can say with certainty that Coffee Club Spanish is one of the best. It is a well-run program that provides language skills in a relaxed atmosphere and at a reasonable cost. In my opinion, the teacher, Ana Luisa, consistently does more ''homework'' than her students. She is always well prepared and keeps the class going at a steady pace. No wonder the program was selected as ''Best of 2015'' by GringoPost subscribers earlier this year.
I would like to recommend Coffee Club Spanish to anyone who is serious about learning Spanish. I have taken classes in 3 other Spanish schools in Cuenca over the last two years, and this program is exceptional. Ana Luisa is an excellent teacher (I am a teacher myself, with over 40 years experience and I know a good teacher when I see one.) She is thorough, fun, engaging, and each 1.5 hour class goes by in a flash. It is low stress and fun, and yet rigorous enough to provide excellent instruction. The program is well organized and you are put into the level that is appropriate and comfortable for you. This school has earned awards in the city of Cuenca for being the best language school - and with good reason.
I would like to recommend Coffee Club Spanish as an excellent place to learn or enhance your Spanish. They can assess your fluency and place you at the appropriate level since they have nine levels available. Ana Luisa is an excellent teacher. She is careful to keep each person involved in the class and does it with kindness and humor. The cost is also very reasonable. You can contact them at email@example.com
Having attended 10 sessions and feeling quite comfortable with 3 hour get togethers with solely hispanohablentes, even full day professional conferences, I cannot recommend Coffee Club Spanish sufficiently
I have a short attention span, so Coffee Club Spanish is a great way for me to learn Spanish. Because the classes are held in Spanish, it helps you become conversational. Each class moves fast and uses flash cards, stories, and worksheets that reinforce the words you are learning. You can take classes from beginners to intermediate so there is a continuous learning system to progress your language skills. Plus, you will make great friends - as we are all in this Spanish learning challenge together
Coffee Club Spanish is an amazing class. I knew nothing in Spanish and before the end of the beginner one class, I was reading and understanding simple stories. This club is amazing for learning Spanish and the teacher is awesome!!
We found Coffee Club Spanish at San Carlos and the fantastic teacher Anna Louisa. It is the best. Anna Louisa is the best teacher I have had. We came to Coffee Club Spanish with present tense fairly well learned. So we started with past tense and Anna Louisa. It is going well and we are learning way faster than we did present tense. She presents it well, has supplemental information and books (keeps the mood light and fun) does not expect to tell you once and move on to the next part. You do not spend a lot of time writing out/conjugating verbs. For all of you wanting to learn Spanish come give it a try in our small and fun classes.
I want to recommend Coffee Club Spanish as a great option for learning to speak like an Ecuadorian. I have watched this small group of professional women develop a successful Spanish language school. Patient, kind and they make learning interesting. I did not know a second language when I arrived in Cuenca. I have a lot more to learn but I have made good progress in several classes I have taken. It is honest to say that I do not learn much if I do not study outside of class. And practicing what we learn by speaking, speaking, speaking is essential. Also, it is common for a student to take a class over to master each level. Some people learn faster than others. This environment allows one to move at the pace you select. The end of each class often includes a trip, such as to meet a local artist or market of interest, with personal introductions and a lecture at times. Ana Luisa often brings an Ecuadorian treat of food or drink to the last class, demonstrating typical Ecuadorian foods of celebrations. Taking each class is a mini-cultural experience. If you are looking for a beginning through advanced class with a native speaker, I highly recommend Coffee Club Spanish as a smart place to learn.
I highly recommend Coffee Club Spanish for those of you, who want to improve your understanding and conversation, no matter what level you are. Ana Luisa is an accomplished instructor, one who can size up your strengths and struggles very quickly, and can adjust her teaching accordingly (the sign of a master teacher). I came to Cuenca at a beginner level (Hola, bano, cerveza), and I still have a lot to learn. But, I have learned so much in the classes at Coffee Club. Do not let the name fool you. This is not a conversation over coffee. This is a real class. Espero verte en clase!
Highly recommend this venue for learning Spanish. Class sizes are typically no bigger than 10 people and the professor uses several modalities for learning. I have tried three other courses and this one is definitely the best in my view. Contact Belen at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Not that Coffee Club Spanish school needs any more Kudos - but I just wanted to say that after taking 4 blocks of classes - starting at Beginner #1 - I feel like I have come a long way. They will test you to match your current skill level. I like the group classes with a maximum of 10, and Ana Luisa, my regular teacher, is the absolute best. She is patient and is always happy and helpful. Today I spent the day in search of specialty plumbing connections for my new apartment´s appliances at 7 different shops and hardware stores. I had little problem making myself understood. Thank you Coffee Club
